Dr. Yanying Wu is a postdoctoral research scientist affiliated with the Waddell Group at the Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour, Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics (DPAG), University of Oxford. She joined Scott Waddell's group in April 2013 to investigate the genetic architecture underlying learning and memory mechanisms in Drosophila.

- B.S. in Computer Science from Fudan University
- Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Her research bridges computational approaches with neurogenetic studies to unravel molecular and circuit mechanisms of memory formation. The Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour provides a multidisciplinary environment for her work.
