معرفی
Yann Lignereux is a Professor of modern history in the History Department at University of Nantes. His academic career spans over two decades with significant contributions to the study of early modern French political culture, royal representation, and urban governance.
Professor Lignereux's research focuses on three interconnected areas: political cultures of 16th and 17th centuries in urban and provincial France; the royal imagination and challenges of representing power through iconography and diplomacy (late 15th-early 18th century); and urban government practices in 17th century France. His work frequently examines the intersection of visual culture, political power, and administrative practices.
His recent publications reveal a strong interest in comparative imperial history, particularly examining French colonial experiences alongside Iberian models, and exploring religious dimensions of geopolitical power. The research shows consistent methodological sophistication combining political, cultural, and visual history approaches.
