Yanling Ma

Dr. Yanling Ma serves as Professor of Clinical Pathology at the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine. She holds joint appointments at LAC+USC Medical Center and Women's Hospital, where she directs the Immunohistochemistry Laboratory. Dr. Ma teaches pathology to medical students and has previously served as Acting Chief of Surgical Pathology.

Her research concentrates on diagnostic pathology with emphasis on immunohistochemical techniques, cancer biomarker validation, and molecular diagnostics. Key areas include HER2 testing standardization in breast cancer, optimization of fine needle aspiration techniques, and histopathological characterization of gastrointestinal disorders.
