Yanli Lin is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the UWA Business School, The University of Western Australia. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from The Ohio State University (2024). Her research focuses on theoretical and applied econometrics, with an emphasis on spatial and social network models. She currently serves as Seminar Organizer for the Department of Economics.
- Education: Ph.D. in Economics, Ohio State University (2018–2024)
Research interests include econometric methodologies, spatial econometrics, and computational techniques. Recent work addresses spatial autoregressive models and computational efficiency in econometric estimation. Awards include the G.S. Maddala Prize (2022) and Tom Kniesner Award (2023).
- Teaching: Coordinator for BUSN 5002 and ECON 3371; instructor roles since 2022
Grants include UWA Business School Research Grant (2024) and a Start-up Grant (2024). Her scholarship bridges econometric theory with practical applications in spatial data analysis.
