Dr. Yang Liu is an Associate Professor jointly appointed in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Management at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is the founding director of the Lab for Urban Mobility Systems (LUMOS), established in 2014. His research focuses on intelligent transportation systems, shared mobility system design, congestion management, and data-driven modeling. LUMOS collaborates with institutions like Northwestern University and ST Engineering to advance sustainable urban mobility solutions. Dr. Liu has advised students such as Hao Guo, Jiaohong Xie, and Xiaolei Zhu, who have achieved notable awards. His work has been published in high-impact journals like Transportation Research Part C and IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Magazine.
