Dr. Yang Huang serves as a Research Fellow in the Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean And Marine Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. His work focuses on advanced numerical methods for marine renewable energy systems, contributing significantly to the development of sustainable ocean energy technologies.
Dr. Huang's research centers on the application of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for flow analysis of ocean renewable energy systems. His expertise encompasses hydrodynamic performance simulation of marine structures, with particular emphasis on wave energy converters and floating offshore wind turbine systems. His current work investigates the complex interactions between fluid dynamics and structural responses in marine energy harvesting devices, addressing critical challenges in efficiency and stability of ocean energy systems.
His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on hydroelastic response in wave energy converters and power stability in floating offshore wind systems.
