Dr. Yang Han is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Manchester. She joined the university as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Statistics in 2017. Her research focuses on simultaneous inference, multiple comparisons, personalized medicine, and bioequivalence studies. Dr. Han holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Southampton (2014) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She has supervised numerous PhD students, including L. Wang, C. Peng, X. Pang, P. Zheng, and Y. Sun.
Her work spans statistical methodology in epidemiology, biomedical applications, and engineering, with recent contributions to pandemic modeling, battery fault diagnosis, and non-pharmaceutical intervention analysis. She has been recognized with the Distinguished Achievement Award for Teacher of the Year 2019.
