Dr. Yang Cai is an Assistant Professor and William Dawson Scholar at McGill University's School of Computer Science. Previously at MIT and UC Berkeley, he leads research in algorithmic game theory and mechanism design. His group develops computational methods for economic systems and multi-agent learning.
Research focuses on:
- Design and analysis of economic mechanisms
- Multi-item auctions and pricing
- Learning in games and optimization
- Equilibrium computation
Recent theoretical advances address convergence properties in game dynamics and efficient algorithms for nonconvex optimization problems in multi-agent settings. His work has been recognized in special issues of Games and Economic Behavior.
