Yan Jin

Dr. Yan Jin is a Researcher in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Policy at Wageningen University & Research. She completed her PhD in Agricultural Economics at the same institution (2021) and held postdoctoral positions at Teagasc (Ireland) and CREDA-UPC-IRTA (Spain) before returning to Wageningen in 2024. She contributes to the MAGNET team and the Horizon2020 BrightSpace project, focusing on designing sustainable strategies for agriculture within safe environmental boundaries.

Research Interests: Her work integrates economic modeling with agricultural technology adoption. She investigates climate-resilient agricultural practices, sustainable resource management, and policy frameworks for rural development. Recent projects emphasize navigating safe environmental operating spaces through interdisciplinary approaches.

Publications: Jin’s research spans plant physiology under stress conditions and microbial ecology. Her work analyzes crop responses to water deficits, root adaptations, and stomatal dynamics. Earlier studies explored methanotrophs in Sphagnum mosses, highlighting her broad expertise in environmental and agricultural sciences.
