Yaling Liu

Yaling Liu is a Visiting Professor in the School of Industrial Design at Georgia Institute of Technology. She holds an MFA in Fashion Design from Domus Academy in Milan. Her teaching integrates rigorous fashion methodologies with industrial design practices, emphasizing soft materials, trend forecasting, and user-centered approaches. Current courses include Year 1 Studio, Intro to Smart Product, and Soft Product Design.

With teaching experience spanning China, Hong Kong, and the USA, Liu specializes in bridging fashion and product design disciplines. Her expertise combines material innovation with market-oriented strategies, fostering student creativity through iterative design processes.
