Yael Dvir

Yael Dvir, MD, is a Professor at UMass Chan Medical School, serving as Vice Chair and Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She also holds roles in the T.H. Chan School of Medicine's Pediatrics and Psychiatry departments. Her primary affiliations include the Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Program (MCPAP) as Medical Director for Early Childhood and the UMASS/Central region team.

Education: Hebrew University of Jerusalem (BMedSc, 1997); Hadassah Medical School (MD, 2004); University of Massachusetts Medical School (General Psychiatry Residency, 2007; Child Psychiatry Residency, 2009).

Research focuses on child psychiatry access, early childhood mental health, trauma-mood disorder linkages, psychosis in youth, and medical education.
