YASİN YURT

Assoc. Prof. YASİN YURT is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), affiliated with the School of Health Services. He holds roles as Vice Dean, Assistant Director, and Coordinator. His academic journey includes a PhD (2011-2015), MS (2009-2011), and BS (2004-2009) in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation from Hacettepe University, Ankara.

• Research Focus: Musculoskeletal disorders, bracing techniques, rehabilitation outcomes, and exercise interventions in conditions like scoliosis, posterior tibial tendon dysfunction, and diabetes-related neuropathy.
• Recent Contributions: Published studies on ankle strengthening programs, low-level laser therapy efficacy, and brace treatment impacts on pulmonary functions.
• Awards: Received EMU Research Incentive Award (2021) for academic excellence.

He actively supervises PhD and master’s students, including ongoing research on diabetes exercise modalities and pre-diabetic intervention efficacy. His projects include investigating physical activity in amputees and scoliosis awareness among educators. Professional activities involve lab work at the HEALTHY LIFE PRACTICE AND RESEARCH CENTER (EMU-SAYMER).
