Y S Prakash, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor of Anesthesiology and Physiology at the Mayo Clinic, serving as Chair of the Department of Physiology & Biomedical Engineering and Vice Dean for Research. His interdisciplinary research focuses on lung diseases, including asthma, COPD, pulmonary hypertension, and neonatal lung disorders, with a strong emphasis on sex-based differences and translational therapies.
