Xue Han is a Senior Lecturer at Arts University Bournemouth and a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Media and Communication at Bournemouth University. She holds a Master's in 3D Computer Animation (Distinction, Bournemouth University, 2017). Her research focuses on interdisciplinary intersections between animation, psychosocial studies, and gender analysis. Previously, she worked in the game and animation industry since 2006, contributing to projects like Netflix's Wish Dragon and an exhibition at Salisbury Cathedral (RTS-nominated).
Teaching focuses on animation production at undergraduate level. External roles include Industry Fellow (0.5), animator for Kids Camera Action Productions, and research collaborations with institutions like the AHRC-funded DICE project. She has presented at conferences including the British Audio-Visual Research Network and Chinese Audio-Visual Cultures Symposium.
Awards include multiple Royal Television Society nominations (2021, 2018), Ethnografilm Festival selection (2020), and a Best Shorts Competition award (2018).
