Xuan Liu

Xuan Liu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). His research focuses on advanced optical imaging technologies, particularly in optical coherence tomography (OCT), phase microscopy, and biomedical imaging. He leads projects funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIMGS), including multi-modality optical imaging systems and novel OCT-based diagnostic tools.

Key research interests include optical engineering, biomedical imaging applications, and photonics innovations. His work spans label-free cellular imaging, nanoparticle tracking, and medical device development. He has pioneered techniques such as optically computed phase microscopy and cost-effective OCT systems for clinical and cultural heritage applications.
