Dr. Xu Zhu is an Honorary Lecturer at the School of Computer Science, University of St Andrews. His research focuses on constraint modeling, visualization, and human-computer interaction (HCI), with a particular emphasis on developing tools to enhance problem-solving processes in constraint programming. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of St Andrews, completed in 2023 under supervisors Dr. Martin Nacenta and Dr. Özgür Akgün.
His work spans visual modeling tools like Solvi, gaze-based interaction methods for mobile devices (DynamicRead), and studies on how humans conceptualize and solve constraint problems.
