Xu (Frank) Wang, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Accounting at Saint Louis University's Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business. His research focuses on investor trading, financial disclosure, corporate governance, sustainability, and financial technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Master’s in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Beijing Technology and Business University-China.
His notable publications include studies on high-frequency traders’ impact on price informativeness during earnings announcements and the relationship between management risk incentives and corporate disclosure readability. His 2020 paper in the Review of Accounting Studies was recognized as the most cited paper at Financial Management.
Dr. Wang is a member of the American Accounting Association, American Finance Association, and Financial Management Association. He is contactable at Davis-Shaughnessy Hall, Saint Louis University.
