معرفی
Xinyu Zhang is a Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Information and Communications Engineering within the School of Electrical Engineering. Their research focuses on wireless communications, signal processing, and statistical modeling in communication systems. Key interests include parameter estimation techniques for wireless channel models, turbulence modeling, and applications of Kullback-Leibler divergence in optical systems.
Research activity spans 2024–2025 with two peer-reviewed publications. The first (2025) addresses parameter estimation in lognormal-Rician turbulence models using k-nearest neighbor methods, published in Optics Letters. The second (2024) proposes a novel variance estimation method for modified Rayleigh radial models, presented at the Advanced Fiber Laser Conference. Both contributions highlight innovations in statistical analysis of communication systems.
Xinyu collaborates with institutions globally, contributing to advancements in wireless and optical communication technologies. Current affiliations include the Wireless & Mobile Communications research group.
