Xing Tan

Dr. Xing Tan is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Lakehead University. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto (2012). His research bridges Operations Research, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Science, focusing on process knowledge representation, symbolic reasoning, and computational complexity analysis. He has published in top-tier conferences such as AAAI, IJCAI, SIGIR, and ECAI, and has received industry and government funding via NSERC, SSHRC, and Ontario Centre of Excellence.
