Ximin (Natalie) Huang is an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain and Operations at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. Her expertise spans Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Operations, and Environmental Legislation. She holds a Ph.D. in Operations Management from Georgia Institute of Technology (2016), an MPhil in Applied Mathematics (2011), and a BSc in Mathematics (2009), both from the University of Hong Kong.
Her research focuses on how environmental legislation influences firms' sustainability strategies, including take-back legislation under Extended Producer Responsibility and carbon emission policies. She explores how such strategies enhance profitability while addressing environmental challenges. Current projects examine end-of-life product recycling, environmentally-sound product design, and production technology choices under regulatory pressures.
She is based at the Carlson School of Management, contributing to academic discourse on sustainable supply chain practices and environmental policy impacts.
