Xichen Mou, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Environmental Health at the University of Memphis School of Public Health. He specializes in statistical methodology, particularly in group testing data and pooled biomarker analysis, with interests in nonparametric regression and generalized linear models. His work spans applications in medicine, health policy, and environmental science.
Education:
- PhD in Statistics, University of South Carolina (2019)
- MS in Statistics, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2013)
Research Interests: Dr. Mou focuses on advancing statistical techniques for pooled data analysis, including Bayesian kernel regression, methylation site correlation, and additive models. He emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration to address real-world challenges in health and environmental research.
Lab/Team: Active on GitHub, where he maintains repositories like APLMforPool and GBKMR. These projects involve implementing statistical methods for biomarker data analysis using R and C++.
Teaching: Currently teaches Biostatistical Methods I at the School of Public Health. Office hours are by appointment in Robison Hall, Room 218.
