Xiaozhou Ding is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of South Dakota's Ness School of Management and Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Kentucky (2020), an M.S. in Economics from Tufts University (2015), and a B.S. in Finance from Chongqing Technology and Business University (2013). His research focuses on urban and regional economics, labor economics, and public economics with particular emphasis on education policy, housing markets, and demographic issues in China. He is affiliated with professional organizations including the American Economic Association and the Chinese Economists Society.
His work examines topics such as school district effects on housing markets, pension reform impacts on family dynamics in China, and the socioeconomic consequences of higher education expansion. Ding's research employs advanced econometric techniques to analyze policy interventions and their welfare effects.
