Xiaoxi Wang

Dr. Xiaoxi Wang is a tenured Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Management, School of Public Affairs, Zhejiang University. He is also a Guest Senior Scientist at the Land Use Transition Lab at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and an Honorary Research Associate at the University of Oxford.

• Core member of the PIK modeling team developing the global agro-economic land system model MAgPIE (Model of Agricultural Production and its Impact on the Environment)
• Leader of MAgPIE-China for climate adaptation and mitigation analysis from a food system perspective
• Affiliated Editor at World Development (since November 2021)

His research focuses on Food Systems, Economic Modeling, Land-use Modeling, Climate Impacts, and Mitigation Policies. Publications include work in Nature Food, Nature Aging, Lancet Planetary Health, and Ecological Economics.
