Xiaoqin Ye is a Professor and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine. She holds an MD from Peking University, an MPH from the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine, and a PhD from the University of California, Riverside. Her research focuses on reproductive physiology and toxicology, particularly the molecular mechanisms of embryo implantation and the effects of endocrine disruptors on pregnancy. She leads the Ye Lab, investigating reproductive system biology and lysosomal function in female fertility.
Recent work includes studies on lysosomal storage disorders impacting progesterone production and uterine physiology. Collaborative projects examine chemotherapeutic agent effects on uterine gene expression and mycotoxin exposure in mice. Dr. Ye has contributed over 60 peer-reviewed publications, emphasizing embryo development, toxicant impacts on reproduction, and cellular signaling pathways.
Her work bridges basic science and clinical applications, with a focus on translational research in reproductive health. Ongoing projects include investigating uterine gland branching and retinoic acid signaling in implantation processes.
