Xiaofei Wang

Xiaofei Wang is a Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Tennessee State University's College of Life and Physical Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong and M.Sc./B.Sc. degrees from Sichuan University.

His research program investigates endocrine regulation, genomic mechanisms of adipocyte development, circadian biology, and nutritional genomics using avian models. Wang employs transcriptional profiling to examine metabolic pathways in chickens and guinea fowl under different nutritional and genetic conditions.

Recent publications explore riboflavin deficiency impacts on embryonic development, comparative microbial metagenomics, and transcriptional regulation of fat deposition. His work contributes to poultry science, obesity research, and comparative physiology.
