Dr. Xian Dai is a Research Fellow at the Department of Analysis within the Faculty of Mathematics at Ruhr-Universität Bochum and currently holds a postdoctoral position at Université Côte d'Azur, France, funded by an ERC grant under François Labourie and Jérémy Toulisse. Previously, they were a postdoc at Heidelberg University (2021–2022) and Ruhr-Universität Bochum (2022–2024). They earned their PhD from Rice University (2020) under Michael Wolf.
Research Focus: Geometry and dynamics of Teichmüller spaces, negatively curved manifolds, and symplectic geometry. Active in the Floer Center of Geometry and part of the Analysis group (Chair X) at Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
Affiliations: Member of the Symplectic geometry group and Oberseminar Dynamische Systeme. Involved in collaborative projects like SFB/TRR 191 and the MFO.
