معرفی
Xavier Noblin is a CNRS Researcher at the Institut de Physique de Nice (INPHYNI), Université Côte d'Azur, where he leads the MIMIC research team. His work bridges physics and biology, focusing on interfacial phenomena, plant biomechanics, and microscale fluid dynamics.
His research interests include:
- Soft matter physics and biophysics
- Liquid interfaces, wetting, and microfluidics
- Plant physics and biological fluid dynamics
- Microswimmers and active matter
Xavier Noblin has led multiple nationally funded research projects, including ANR grants PORTER (2010), PHYSAP (2019), and MICROLIT (2023). These projects reflect a sustained focus on experimental and theoretical investigations of physical processes in biological and soft materials.
He completed his PhD at Université Paris 6, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University in plant physics. In 2011, he obtained his Habilitation to Direct Research (HDR), and in 2006, he was recruited as a CNRS Research Fellow.
His laboratory, part of INPHYNI, supports interdisciplinary research at the intersection of physics, engineering, and life sciences. The MIMIC team investigates physical mechanisms in living systems, particularly in plants and microfluidic environments.
