Xavier Farge

Xavier Farge is a Researcher at the Institute of Microbiology and Microbial Biotechnology within the Department of Biotechnology and Food Science at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU).

His research expertise lies in Microbiology and Microbial Biotechnology, with specialized focus on methylotrophic microorganisms. His work examines the metabolic pathways, genetic regulation, and potential biotechnological applications of microbes that utilize single-carbon compounds as their sole carbon and energy sources.

Currently, Farge is actively involved in the FWF-funded research project "Function, Control and Engineering of Microbial Methylotrophy" (2024-2027), working under project management of Diethard Mattanovich. This project represents cutting-edge research in microbial metabolism engineering.
