Wong Siew Fang

Dr. Wong Siew Fang is a Research Fellow at the School of Science, Monash University Malaysia since August 2023. He holds a B.Sc. (First Class Honours in Resource Chemistry) from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (2015), M.Sc. from Universiti Sains Malaysia (2018), and Ph.D. from Universiti Malaya (2021). His research focuses on analytical chemistry, biosensors, food chemistry, and medicinal chemistry, with expertise in sensor array design and antimicrobial agent development. Key contributions include pioneering work on differential-based biosensors for detecting food contaminants and synthesizing heterocyclic compounds for therapeutic applications.

Dr. Wong has received notable awards, including the Best Master Thesis (2018), Best PhD Thesis (2022), and Dean's List (2015). He actively contributes to peer review for journals like Food Chemistry and serves as a member of the American Chemical Society and Institut Kimia Malaysia. His research aligns with UN SDGs, addressing food safety and sustainable development through innovative analytical techniques and material science advancements.

Collaborations span international institutions, including Suranaree University of Technology (Thailand). His work bridges analytical, materials, and medicinal chemistry, emphasizing practical applications in food safety and therapeutics.
