Wolfram Geissler

Dr. Wolfram Geissler is a geophysicist at the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) in Bremerhaven, Germany. He specializes in geophysical research focusing on Arctic and Southern Ocean dynamics, including the formation of the Arctic Basin, North Atlantic Deep Water circulation, and Southern Ocean seaways. His work also involves studying climate transitions from the Cretaceous to Tertiary periods, glacial dynamics, and marine microseismic activities. He contributes to long-term observational projects and bathymetric studies.

Research interests include the development of ice sheets, lake-based climate archives, and the application of advanced geophysical methods such as multibeam echo sounders and high-resolution seismics.
