Wojciech Lewandowski

Dr. Wojciech Lewandowski is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Ethics, Faculty of Philosophy, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He holds a Master’s degree (2006) and is pursuing doctoral studies since 2006, focusing on 'The Future and Responsibility: Justifying Obligations to Future Generations.' His research explores contemporary ethical theories, practical reasoning in ethics, and moral responsibility. Key interests include bioethics, genetic enhancement, and moral obligations in familial and global contexts.

Education:

• 2001–2006: MA in Philosophy, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (thesis on forgiveness in Scheler and Aquinas)
• 2005: Erasmus scholar at University of Parma
• 2006–present: Doctoral studies (thesis on responsibility for future generations)

Research Interests: Bioethical dilemmas in genetic selection, moral responsibility across generations, and the ethical implications of biomedical interventions. He critiques bioconservative arguments and explores the role of impartiality in moral decision-making.
