Wojciech Hora

Professor Wojciech Hora is a faculty member at the University of Arts in Poznań (UAP) and has served as Rector since 2016, re-elected for 2020–2024. He leads the Bionics Studio at the Faculty of Architecture and Design and founded a Design Program at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz (2007).

Education:

• Graduated from the Faculty of Interior Design and Industrial Design at Poznań State Higher School of Fine Arts (1987)

Research Interests span design innovation, integrating bionics with architecture and industrial design. His work often merges art and functionality, exemplified by the interactive installation CONNECTION THROUGH DISTANCE (2020), which explored spatial dynamics through physical connections.

Scientific Awards:

• First Prize of the Minister of Culture (1987)
• Maria Dokowicz Competition Winner (internship at Royal College of Art, London)

He runs a multidisciplinary design studio, focusing on architecture, interior design, and furniture, and has exhibited extensively in Poland and internationally.
