Wojciech Gizicki

Dr. hab. Wojciech Gizicki, Professor at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, serves as Vice-Dean and Head of the Department of Sociology of Security and Criminology within the Faculty of Social Sciences. His academic focus spans security studies, criminology, and sociology, with particular emphasis on cybersecurity, terrorism, forensic methods, and geopolitical security challenges.

• Research Interests: Security studies (cybersecurity, terrorism, geopolitical threats), criminology (organized crime, social pathology), sociology (crisis management, socio-legal aspects of security), and international relations (NATO, EU security policy).
• Leadership Roles: Vice-Dean (2020–2024, 2024–2028), Head of Department (2018–2019, 2023–present).
• Advising: Supervised over 50 diploma theses (2012–2025) covering topics like cyberbullying, criminal profiling, bioterrorism, and geopolitical security in Eastern Europe.
