Withawat Withayachumnankul

Professor Withawat Withayachumnankul is a leading academic in the field of terahertz technology, currently serving as a Professor at the University of Adelaide's School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. He is the leader of the Terahertz Engineering Laboratory and an editorial board member of the IEEE Transactions on Terahertz Science and Technology. His research focuses on terahertz waveguides, metasurfaces, antennas, and applications in communications and imaging.

With a doctorate from the University of Adelaide (2010), he has held postdoctoral roles at the Australian Research Council and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. He has authored over 110 journal papers and secured over AUD 2 million in ARC grants. His work includes innovations in 3D-printed terahertz components and neural network-based signal compensation.
