Wing Hung Wong is the Stephen R. Pierce Family Goldman Sachs Professor of Science and Human Health and Professor of Biomedical Data Science at Stanford University, with joint appointments in the Department of Statistics and Department of Biomedical Data Science. He is affiliated with multiple research institutes including Bio-X, the Cardiovascular Institute, and the Stanford Cancer Institute.
His research focuses on:
- Bayesian statistical methods and computational biology
- Precision medicine approaches
- Semiconductor-based automation of biological experiments
- Single-cell genomics and regulatory network analysis
Professor Wong has received numerous honors including the COPSS Distinguished Achievement Award (2021), membership in the National Academy of Sciences (2009), and the Grace Wahba Award (2023). He directs an active research laboratory developing statistical methods for genomic analysis.
