Wilson Liu is a Professor of Finance and Business Law at the College of Business, James Madison University. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Oklahoma, an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Kansas, and a B.A. in Economics from Shenzhen University, China. His research focuses on Financial Derivatives, International Finance, and Emerging Financial Markets. He has contributed to peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Corporate Accounting and Finance and Journal of Futures Markets. Liu has been with JMU since 2004, serving as Professor since 2015. His academic career includes roles as Associate Professor (2009-2015) and Assistant Professor (2004-2009).

- International Finance: Exploring cross-border capital flows and global financial systems.
- Emerging Markets: Investigating financial dynamics in developing economies.
