Dr. Wilmer Estrada Carrasquillo serves as Associate Professor of Missions and Evangelism at Asbury Theological Seminary, having joined after directing the Center for Latino Studies and holding an Assistant Professor of Practical Theology position at Pentecostal Theological Seminary (2018-2023). Previously, he held ministerial leadership roles including District Youth Leader, National Youth and Discipleship Director, and Senior Pastor with Puerto Rico's Iglesia de Dios Mission Board "Buenas Nuevas".
His academic credentials include:

- M.Div. from Pentecostal Theological Seminary (2013)
- Ph.D. from Asbury Theological Seminary (2018)
Research emphasizes mission and evangelism through Pentecostal spirituality and Hispanic-Latina ecclesiology, examining the church's public gospel embodiment in cultural contexts. His scholarship critically engages McDonaldization's impact on ecclesial structures while exploring intersections of faith, culture, and Wesleyan-Pentecostal theological dialogue.
He has authored two seminal monographs: Hacia una eclesiología Hispana-Latina: Una respuesta a la McDonaldización (2018) and Beyond the Temple: Pentecostal Spirituality as a Lived Ecclesiology (2021), alongside journal articles and book chapters advancing Latina Theology frameworks.
Residing in Cleveland, TN with his wife Laura and three daughters, he actively participates in local church ministry through preaching, teaching, and worship leadership.
