Willow Stewart is a Postgraduate Teaching Fellow and PhD student in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Sydney. She works full-time in the Carslaw Building (Room 807), contributing to teaching and research activities. Her primary research areas include Combinatorics, Representation theory, and Group theory, with specific focus on Monoidal categories and their applications in Cryptography.
Stewart is supervised by Daniel Tubbenhauer and Kevin Coulembier, key researchers in categorical representation theory. She is enrolled in a PhD program, with her thesis titled Monoidal Categories and Cryptography. Her work aligns with the Algebra Research Group and intersects with ongoing projects in quantum algebra, diagrammatic categories, and computational applications in mathematics.
Stewart's teaching schedule for 2025 Semester 2 includes tutorials for MATH1061 and an assessment session. She is part of a vibrant research environment with affiliations to conferences and seminars in Paris, Brussels, and Banff, though her own publications and awards remain forthcoming.
