William Van Woensel

Dr. William Van Woensel is an Assistant Professor at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, where he conducts research at the intersection of Health Informatics, Artificial Intelligence, and Information Systems. His work focuses on developing novel methods to transform healthcare through intelligent decision support, knowledge representation, and mobile health applications.

His educational background includes a BSc, MSc, and PhD in Applied Computer Science from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium.

Dr. Van Woensel's research program centers on Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, Mobile Computing, and Machine Learning for healthcare applications. Key areas include:
