William T. Lynch is Professor of History at Wayne State University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, specializing in Science and Technology Studies. He holds a PhD in Science and Technology Studies from Cornell University and teaches courses on environmental history and science studies.
His research examines the historical development of scientific knowledge, cultural evolution theories, environmental transformations, and the sociology of scientific dissent. Current projects analyze the origins of the Anthropocene and new sciences of cultural evolution.
