William Montgomery is an Associate Professor in the General Education program at Clarkson College since 2011, previously serving as Registrar Representative from 2008-2011. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership (Concordia University at Chicago), alongside degrees from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He designs core courses like HUM 200, HUM 205, EEA 200, and SOC 220, focusing on healthcare ethics, medical sociology, and historical contexts of medicine. Key roles include Faculty Senate President and participation in Critical Success Factor committees. His research spans medical history, disaster management, and military healthcare practices. Notable achievements include the 2018 Patricia Book Perry Faculty of the Year Award and published works on nurse training history and NOAA’s hurricane response.
