William Mitchell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Macalester College, based in Olin-Rice Science Center Room 237 with contact email wmitchel@macalester.edu.
His research specializes in microscale fluid dynamics involving very small or slow flows, such as viscous fluid behavior (e.g., honey on pancakes) and hydrodynamics of microorganisms (e.g., swimming bacteria).
