William Marsiglio is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Florida, affiliated with the Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on men’s experiences, fatherhood, reproduction, and sociospatial dynamics. He has authored/co-authored numerous books including *Chasing We-ness* (2023), *Kids Who Tri* (2019), and *Dads, Kids, and Fitness* (2016). His work integrates qualitative methods, emphasizing in-depth interviews and ethnography. Recent projects explore 'we-ness' (group belonging) and place consciousness, proposing MEAL life skills (mindfulness, empathy, altruism, leadership) for fostering healthy social environments.
Key research areas include: men’s procreative identity development, stepfathering dynamics, youth sports culture, and the intersection of fatherhood with community work. He has published extensively in journals like *Journal of Marriage and Family*, *Journal of Family Issues*, and *Contexts*. His interdisciplinary approach bridges sociology, psychology, and public health.
