William Labby

William Labby is an Assistant Professor and Integrated Industrial Technology (IIT) Coordinator in the Department of Math and Sciences at Leeward Community College, University of Hawaiʻi. He also serves as a Member of the State of Hawaii Strategic Highway Safety Planning Core Committee.

His academic credentials include a BS from Hawaiʻi Pacific University and an MS from Central Michigan University. Campus committee roles encompass ICTL (Instructional Computing and Technology Lab) and Sustainability initiatives.

Professor Labby's professional focus spans Industrial Technology, Transportation Safety, and Workforce Development. He directs the Associate in Science Degree in Integrated Industrial Technology alongside Non-Credit Workforce Development training and the Motorcycle Safety Education Program, emphasizing practical skill acquisition for community workforce needs.

As Principal Investigator for the Operation Next Training and Certification program and Coordinator for the US Navy transportation safety program, he maintains active grant-funded initiatives. His community impact extends through the State of Hawaii Strategic Highway Safety Planning Core Committee, where he shapes statewide safety policies and implementation strategies.
