William C Ocasio

William C. Ocasio is the James F. Towey Professor of Business Administration and Professor at the Gies College of Business, University of Illinois. He serves as Director of the Illinois Strategic Organization Initiative. His research focuses on institutional logics, attention-based organizational theory, and strategic management. Key interests include corporate governance, business models, and the social construction of institutions.

Recent work explores attentional control mechanisms, the evolution of institutional logics, and strategic adaptation in post-Chandlerian economies. He has published over 65 scholarly articles, with notable contributions in Journal of Management Inquiry and Strategic Organization.
