William Brown

Dr. William Brown is a Professor of Biology at SUNY Fredonia, holding a PhD from the University of Toronto. With over 25 years of professional scientific experience, he teaches foundational and advanced courses in biology, ecology, evolution, and conservation for students ranging from non-majors to graduate candidates.

His research focuses on animal behavior, particularly evolutionary ecology and insect behavioral dynamics, with publications on mantid reproduction, insect communication, and stream biodiversity. Recent work explores sexual cannibalism, phonotaxis, and host-parasite relationships in orthopterans.
