Will Lowry serves as an Associate Professor of Theatre within the College of Arts and Sciences at Lehigh University and is a Creative Partner with Flux Theatre Ensemble (NYC), demonstrating active integration of academic and professional theatre practice.
His educational background includes a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Professor Lowry's creative research spans theatrical design disciplines with specialized expertise in lighting, scenic, costume, and projection design, complemented by illustration and virtual reality rendering. His practice-based work has been implemented across diverse venues including regional theaters (Mill Mountain Theatre, Warehouse Theatre, Playhouse on Park), academic institutions (Furman University, Southeast Missouri State University, Lehigh University), and off-off Broadway productions, reflecting a national scope of engagement.
Notably, he has contributed to Broadway productions as studio assistant for six-time Tony Award-winning designer William Ivey Long on shows including "After Midnight" and "Motown: the Musical", while also creating commissioned graphics for costume design teams of "Big Fish", "Cabaret", "Baby It's You", and "Addams Family".
Through Flux Theatre Ensemble, Lowry maintains ongoing collaborative projects that bridge academic theory with professional industry standards in contemporary theatre design.
