Wil Schilders

Wil Schilders is a Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at Eindhoven University of Technology and a Hans Fischer Senior Fellow at TU Munich. He holds a part-time professorship in Scientific Computing for Industry (since 1999) and is executive director of the Dutch Platform for Mathematics. His research focuses on scientific computing, model order reduction, and industrial challenges, with applications in semiconductor devices, electromagnetics, and circuit simulation. He has led major initiatives like EU-MORNET and served as president of ECMI and ICIAM.

Education: MSc in Mathematics (Radboud University, 1978), PhD in Numerical Mathematics (Trinity College Dublin, 1980).
