Dr. Whitney Garney is an Associate Professor at the Department of Health Behavior, Texas A&M University School of Public Health. She serves as Director of the Center for Community Health and Aging and Research Director for the Texas A&M Telehealth Institute. Her work focuses on systems approaches to public health prevention, healthcare access, telehealth, and cardiovascular/adolescent health.

Her research emphasizes social ecology and health across the lifespan, with over $28 million in external funding since 2015. She has led systems-level evaluations funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and contributed to NIH grant reviews.
