Wesley Y. Joe is an Associate Teaching Professor at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy. He teaches statistics, data visualization, and policymaking processes. His research focuses on citizen participation in democracy, including voting rights, election administration, and campaign finance policy. He has conducted pioneering evaluations of public financing systems for election campaigns in Connecticut, Minnesota, and Arizona, supported by grants from the Pew Charitable Trusts, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and others.

Awards and recognition include the 2022 Leslie Whittington Award from McCourt School students. He maintains dual expertise in public policy and computer systems, having previously worked in Silicon Valley's enterprise software sector at Tandem Computers (now part of Hewlett Packard Enterprise).
Community involvement includes serving as First Vice-Chair of Virginia's AAPI Democratic Caucus and on Arlington Public Schools' Advisory Council on Teaching and Learning.
